The Yamanaka Clan specializes in mind controling and confusion. It is a small clan, like the Inuzuka, but is very special. It is like the shadow possesiong jutsu, except that your mind leaves your body, which makes it vulnerable, unless someone is protecting it. Ino Yamanaka, a current member, runs the flower shop with her family, and it is something the Yamanaka Clan does.

The Yamanaka Clan socializes very well with the Nara Clan and the Akimichi Clan since if you have remembered from the series, there is a group that Ino fits in one-third of it called Ino-Shika-Cho.

One of the most popular jutsus is the Mind Controlling Jutsu which allows the user's mind to transfer into the opponet's jutsu. While in that stage, the user's body collapeses since the mind as left. If you miss the direct hit with that jutsu, you will be in the stage where your body is limp and your mind is sort of gone for five mintues.
